CPE Information
GNR notes:
All GNR cartridges are for use in Gary Reeder custom revolvers and barrels. Only cartridges marked S&W are safe for use in Smith and Wesson revolvers. SSP cartridges cannot be used in revolvers of any kind. Most long bodied cartridges are designed for the Encore frame. Only those designated Contender can be used in Contender frames and barrels. Any misuse or deviation from the intended purpose of any cartridge may result in damage to the gun or serious injury. If you have any questions as to whether your gun will withstand any particular load; ASK !!! Contact us by phone or e-mail before taking any chances. We are not responsible for any misuse of our products.
Gary Reeder designed most of the GNR cartridges with a particular bullet in mind. These we refer to herein as primary loads. We try to keep a plentiful stock of primary loads on hand for immediate shipping. If you’re looking for something to shoot in your custom Gary Reeder gun or barrel right away, order the primary load. Even though we try to maintain a good stock on all our loads, sometimes we run short. Normally we can ship within two or three weeks in any case.
CPE is the only authorized manufacturer and dealer of GNR cartridges, and, have committed to Reeder Customs Guns that we will produce any GNR cartridge regardless of whether it’s part of our regular line-up or not. If not a regular offering, any GNR cartridge will be available on a custom or special run basis. See our Custom Services page for details.
We sincerely appreciate Gary Reeder’s confidence in granting CPE exclusive permission to produce the ammunition that bears his initials. We strive to produce quality ammo that will ultimately be used in some of the finest firearms available. Every single GNR load has been thoroughly tested by CPE and reviewed by Gary Reeder. If he doesn’t like the load, it doesn’t get sold by
CPE.
Shipping:
Our cartridges are mostly shipped via FedEx. Our terms for shipping are: orders of $100 or less; $15, orders over $100 – 15%. On orders of $500 or more shipping is 10%. Brass only orders will be shipped mostly by the US Mail.
Custom services:
As stated elsewhere on this website, we have committed to provide any GNR cartridge. Maybe your particular cartridge is not one of our “regulars”, or you want a special bullet, or want the powder charge reduced for practice shooting. We can do this on a custom basis.
I recently had a client that was having accuracy issues with a cartridge that very well in my barrel. I worked up several loads with different powder and bullet combinations for him to try. Out of those, he picked a load that worked well in his gun; so in essence, we tuned the load to his gun. This service is now available to all our customers.
A minimum purchase of 5 boxes, and a 50% deposit, is required to get the ball rolling on any custom order. (Short bodied cartridges come in boxes of 50 and long bodied cartridges in boxes of 20.) Contact me for a quote;
